OOTD: Periwinkle Pastels

Have I expressed enough just how much I’ve been loving this sunny weather lately?! It’s making me so happy and excited for summer, and I seriously can’t help wearing all of my spring dresses. Since I’ve been getting a lot of use out of them, I thought I would share another OOTD with you guys from this past weekend!
Jacket: American Eagle
Dress: Forever 21
Shoes: Converse
 Necklace: Forever 21
I also wanted to show you guys my hair of the day!
That’s it for this OOTD! Expect more soon because I’ve been wearing my dresses like crazy lately. I just really don’t like wearing pants when it’s all nice and sunny! I am definitely transitioning to my spring and summer self hahaha.
Do you like to wear a ton of skirts and dresses during the spring?

Thank you so much for reading and have a great day! 🙂

Spring Dress Lust List

This past weekend actually turned out to be really nice; consequently, now I really want to go out and buy all of the spring dresses I can find. As soon as it starts to get sunny, I can’t help but wear all of the dresses and skirts I possible can! I have since made the mistake at looking at all of the spring collections from some of my favorite stores, so I thought I might as well make use of my searches, and share what I have really liked!

How pretty are all of these dresses?! I think the very first and last are my favorites, but it’s hard to choose because I love all of them so much!

Which ones are your favorites?

Thank you so much for reading, and have a wonderful day! 🙂

OOTD: Spring Fever

Ok, so the sun is teasing me. Earlier this week, it was sunny and (kind of) warm, so I had the chance to wear a couple of my summer dresses – with jackets of course. But now it’s back to rain and clouds! I did, however, take a couple of snaps of my outfits I wore!
 Dress: Forever 21
Jacket: Nordstrom
Shoes: Converse
My necklace was actually a gift – it’s a little letter and actually opens! Haha it’s one of my favorites 🙂
I was seriously so excited to wear this dress finally after so many cold months! It’s supposed to be sunny again this coming weekend, so we’ll see how that turns out!
How is the weather where you live? Are you excited for spring?!

Thanks for reading, and have a great day! 🙂

Best Dressed: Oscars 2015

There are so many beautiful gowns (and tuxedos in the men’s case!) this year at the Oscars, so here are my personal favorites!
Emma Stone’s dress is without a doubt my personal favorite of the night! She always looks so gorgeous, and that is no different this year! I absolutely love this gown from Elie Saab, and Emma Stone wears it so well!
Reese Witherspoon also looks gorgeous in her clean cut gown from Tom Ford.
I think Chris Pratt and Anna Faris make one of Hollywood’s cutest couples, and they both looked so stunning! Anna Faris looks especially gorgeous in her gown from Zuhair Murad, and they compliment each other so well!
Jennifer Lopez also looks so pretty in her gown from Elie Saab! She doesn’t let the dress wear her at all, which would be difficult given it’s train!
I really like how clean cut, yet soft, Gwyneth Paltrow’s dress is from Ralph & Russo. At first I wasn’t too keen on the shoulder flower, but I actually think it adds just the right amount of detail and flourish!
I absolutely love Oprah’s gown from Vera Wang! She looks so happy in this particular picture, and I think the design on the midsection of the dress is so flattering!
Can we just appreciate how gorgeous Lupita Nyong’o always looks?! Her dress is from Calvin Klein, and I don’t think it could be any more perfect!
Blush pink and lighter colors seem to be really popular at the Oscars this year, but I love how Zoe Saldana’s dress is accessorized! The dress is from Atelier Versace, but I think the simple necklace really helps the dress shine!
I absolutely adore this dress from Yves Saint Laurent that Margot Robbie is wearing! It’s so flowy and gorgeous, and she looks stunning in black!
Neil Patrick Harris and his husband David Burtka both look so handsome! They are also one of my favorite Hollywood couples – they have the cutest family!
Keira Knightly is rocking it on the Red Carpet with her gown from Valentino, and her baby bump! She is seriously a vision of spring! I adore the whimsical floral design.
I mean, does anything need to be said about Channing Tatum and his wife Jenna Dewan-Tatum? They make such a stunning couple, and Jenna looks breathtaking in her Zuhair Murad gown!
I love how Jennifer Hudson looks in her yellow gown from Romona Keveza – the color looks so great on her!
Chloë Grace Moretz’s dress from Miu Miu is so pretty! I love the print and style of it, and it has pockets!! Imagine how useful that is at the Oscars!
How cute are Andy Samberg and Joanne Newsom?! Her dress is from Honor, and I love the flowers on the bodice!
Last but not least, Gina Rodriguez looks so gorgeous in this eco-friendly gown! She was asked by Suzy Amis Cameron to represent her Red Carpet Green Dress campaign, and I think it’s so awesome!!
Alright, well these are some of my favorites from the Oscars 2015! There were so many other stunningly dressed actors this year, but I of course couldn’t include them all!
Who do you think was the best dressed at the Oscars?

Thank you so much for reading, and have a great day! 🙂

OOTD: Holiday Edition

I’m so sorry I’ve been MIA for a couple of weeks, but I’ve been super busy with family stuff, and Christmas in general!
This is what I wore to our church’s Christmas Eve service, but I think it would be really cute to wear to any holiday party you might have, or for New Years Eve! It isn’t too fancy and it is also really comfy, so you could definitely last all night in it!
 Dress: Nordstrom
Tights: Nordstrom
Bangles: They were actually a gift, but they’re just little gold bangles that are sold most places.
I have really been loving my Ted Baker bag!!
Shoes: Nordstrom Rack
Anyway, I thought I would just show you guys what I wore on Christmas Eve, and the fact that it is really versatile for the holiday season!
What did you wear for the holidays?

Thanks for reading, and have a great day! 🙂

My First “Grown-Up” Bag

I’ve had the same purse since seventh grade (we’re going on six years here!) because it’s convenient and goes with most anything, however it is starting to show its age, and it is a very casual bag that probably wouldn’t be the best to bring to things like job interviews. Now that I’m in college, and am technically an adult (what?!), I figured it would be a good idea to get a new bag that is a little more “grown-up” looking!
I was looking at some sales over Black Friday to see if I could get a good deal anywhere, and Ted Baker was having a really good sale on bags, so I decided to order one! I worked this past summer, and will be getting another job soon, so I had some money saved up that I was willing to spend a little bit of.
As soon as I got the package in the mail, I pulled out my camera and took pictures as I unpacked it. You could say I was just a little bit excited.
My first look at it in person! It’s called the Petra, and is considered a small tote bag.
Here’s a better picture of it out of the box – I am in love! I thought it would be a bit bigger in person, but I actually really like the size because it’ll keep me from hoarding around things I don’t need in my purse!
A closer look at the bow!
I’m really glad that I ordered this, and relieved that it finally made it to my house! I ordered it on Black Friday (November 28th), and it just now made it here today! It was definitely worth the wait, though. I’m not sure if I’ll just be using this bag for special occasions, or to places where I know I won’t have to set it down anywhere, or if I’ll use it for everyday purposes. We shall see!
What kind of bags do you like?

Thank you so much for reading (and happy Blogmas Day 2!), and I hope you have a wonderful day! 🙂

Flash Tattoos!

A while back I saw some really cool pictures on Tumblr of what I found out to be Flash Tattoos, and I decided I had to order them!
You can go to the website here, and check out all of the different ones that they have, and I highly recommend you do! These are such cool tattoos, and a certain percentage of the profits from each purchase goes towards different charities. So, you get sheets of really cool gold and silver tattoos and help out people at the same time! It was a win-win for me and I do not regret buying them!
The tattoos come in sheets, and I chose the “Sheebani” one (you can find it here) which benefits the Miracle Foundation. I thought all of the henna inspired designs were so gorgeous, and there wasn’t a tattoo I didn’t like!

The quote is “live. love. wander.”

I adore these elephants! I’m thinking I might use them for halloween somehow? Haha I’m really not sure yet.

I love using these “bands” as bracelets and anklets.

I cannot explain to you how difficult it was to photograph these haha. The gold and silver are very shiny and metallic-y, so it was very difficult to get a picture that didn’t have a weird reflection.

These tattoos are so fun to use! I love how they turn out and mine lasted for a full week (they say on the website that the tattoos are supposed to last 4-6 days). I’m really sad because I lost the photos I had of mine, I have no idea where they went, but they probably got lost when I switched laptops last week 🙁
However, you can kind of see them in my OOTD picture from my VloggerFair Post: I have two on my chest, one on my right ankle, and one on the side of my arm that is of course covered with my cardigan.

Overall, I really recommend buying these if you have a special event coming up, or if you just want to wear them anytime! They go on exactly like every other temporary tattoo, and come off easily with baby oil, or with gentle scrubbing with a rag or loofah in the shower.
I got a lot of compliments and questions about them when I wore them, and some people even thought they were real! If it was actually possible to get real tattoos that looked like these, I would definitely get them in a heartbeat. They are so gorgeous but also subtle, so they are absolutely perfect in my book!

Have you guys ever heard of Flash Tattoos?

Thank you so much for reading, and I hope you have a wonderful day! 🙂

OOTD: Cats and the Last Days of Summer

Summer is coming to an end, but these last couple of days have been quite nice. You can usually start to feel the shift to fall this time of year where I live, but definitely not this year. This summer has been a very warm one, which has it’s positives and negatives: I have gotten so much use out of my sundresses, but my jeep has been insanely hot when I first get in it, and the dark seats have basically been burning my legs for three straight months. Overall, I am really glad that this summer has been so hot, but it definitely makes me ready for the coming cooler months!
Anyway, this Saturday I had a relaxing day hanging out with two of my friends since we’ll all be leaving for college soon, so we took a couple of quick snaps of our outfits.
Shirt: Pacsun (but from the Brandy Melville line they carry)
Shorts: Macy’s
 Bracelet: Forever 21
Watch: Gift from friends, but I believe it’s from Etsy
 Shoes: Pacsun
Okay, yes, I’m posting this outfit to feature my kitties as well, which I thought was fitting since my shirt features a little kitty face. This is Mama Kitty; she adopted us along with her litter of kittens when I was eight, and since I was the one who found them and “helped” them (okay I gave them food and treats and they eventually just followed me home) come to my house because they were living in our neighbor’s barn. We tried calling her different names but they never stuck, so that is how Mama Kitty came to be. Thrilling story, I know. I just love animals so much and a cute mama cat with her little litter of kittens? I just could not resist.
This is Al, and he is a big moody baby. He loves to be held but he was just not feeling the whole picture thing. His full name is Al Capone since he has black around his mouth that looks like a goatee. He is also from Mama Kitty’s second litter (we did not realize there was a handsome “daddy” kitty hanging around our property, so Mama Kitty had a couple of other kittens, but was promptly fixed after they were weened – and don’t worry they were kindly given to our family and friends).

He did not want to be in any of the pictures because he is a stubborn cat, but he’s adorable and I love him.
Alright, there you have it, the first reveal of my crazy cat/animal loving inner self. I think I should just live on a farm when I’m older so I can save all the animals I want and live happily ever after.
Haha…anyway, thank you so much for reading and I hope you have a wonderful day! 🙂

My Current Obsession: Maxi Skirts

Hey guys!
So lately I have been obsessed with maxi skirts – they are so pretty and perfect for any weather, and can easily be dressed up or down. I especially love them for summer nights because they aren’t too heavy that they will make you super warm, but they also provide a little extra something if it gets chillier once the sun goes down.

I have especially been lusting over this one (which you can find here)! It is absolutely gorgeous and looks really comfortable.
This one is pretty similar, just with a cute pattern over it which I love as well. It looks so classy with it’s vintage-y pattern! You can find it here.
I love the lace cutouts on the side! The pattern is really pretty, but the cut outs add a really cool look to it, as well as the slit on the side. Find it here!
I have always loved this color – you can easily wear it in any season! The material is also so gorgeous and looks really soft. You can take a closer look here.
I love the flowers on this one! They look really nice against the black background, and are able to really pop. You can find it here. I also found a similar one to this one for a lot cheaper, which can be seen here.
This pattern is really cute as well; it is quite busy, but the colors help it tone down. You can find it here,
Well those are some skirts I have found lately that I have been wanting! I’ve actually been throwing around the idea of ordering the first or second one, I just wish they would go on sale!
Anyway, thank you so much for reading, and have a great day!
Would you spend a lot of money on a clothing item if you had been wanting it for a while?
