5 Ways to Stay Organized in College

If you’re anything like me, organization is key to success in school. It took me a little while to figure out how to stay organized in college, so I thought it would be nice to share my tips on how to keep up with your crazy schedule while in school!

1. Have a planner, and actually use it

I have really been loving my Lilly Pulitzer planner!

Writing your schedule down in a planner is the number one tip I could give you about staying organized. It’s so important to keep all of your important dates in one place, and to write down what you’ll be doing for the coming week. I like mapping out my schedule on Sunday evenings, just so I have a rough idea of what my week will look like. You of course don’t have to put every tiny detail in for the week when you aren’t too sure quite yet, but it’ll help to have an idea of how you’re week is going to go. Plus, it’ll be easier planning things during the week because you already kind of know what you are doing each day.
Using a planner to write down assignment due dates is also very important. As soon as you get your syllabus in the beginning of the term, write down all of the huge due dates for each of your classes because your professors will most likely only remind you the week before an assignment is due. It’s definitely your job now to keep track of due dates and to keep yourself accountable for everything. Plus, you can get a super cute planner from brands like Lilly Pulitzer, Kate Spade, Ban.do….the list goes on and on! Target also has some really cute ones that won’t break your bank.

2. Keep a journal

I like to keep a journal to write down my goals – whether they are my yearly, monthly, or weekly goals, it really helps to keep me on track! I also love to write out organized to-do lists that are more longterm, and focused on my more creative projects. So lists pertaining to blog posts, video ideas, writing ideas, and other creative projects! This helps to keep my brain organized, if that makes any sense. Sometimes it feels like I get so overwhelmed with homework and tests, that I just have ideas swimming around and nowhere to put them! I decided to just write them all down in a journal, and that helped so much. It really helps to give you a creative outlet as well!

3. Use sticky notes

I am seriously a sticky note addict. Honestly, I probably over-use them, but it helps to remind me of important dates, or things that I need to do the next day. When you are finally going to sleep after a long night of homework, it’s so easy to forget things the next morning. I like to hang sticky notes on my desk, or put them on my laptop to remind myself to get important things done, or remember to bring the homework I just finished to class the next day. I know, that sounds crazy, but when you are an exhausted college kid, it’s easy to forget to print assignments, or just leave them in your dorm altogether! Sticky notes are really the best, and should not be underestimated in their importance on your college shopping list.

4. Set phone reminders

This is essentially the digital version of sticky notes, but they can be carried around with you, and remind you of things at certain times!  Phone reminders are really great for appointments that you might forget about during the day if you’re super busy. You also most likely always have your phone with you, so you can easily set a reminder when you’re out and about and need a digital sticky note pronto. I personally like sticky notes better because I like physical reminders, but phone reminders definitely have their uses too!

5. Schedule free time and homework time

This goes along with scheduling your week, but having dedicated and consistent time where you are doing homework or taking a break is really helpful for staying sane. I like to get to work on assignments right after I get back from classes, so I can have free time later at night, and not be worried about homework while I eat dinner. Getting to bed early is also a really good idea in college, so getting your homework done right after classes helps you get enough sleep too.

Well, there you have it! Those are my five tips to staying organized in college. If you are going to be a freshman next year, don’t get scared about how crazy your schedule will be! You will find a balance after a couple of weeks of trial and error, and pretty soon you’ll be a college pro!

I made a video about this on my channel as well, so give it a look!

California Outfit Diary

While in California for VidCon, I made sure to take pictures of my outfits everyday so I could show you an outfit diary! The weather was actually pretty mild, and not as hot as it has been in Oregon, so that was definitely weird for me. Although it wasn’t as warm, it was definitely a lot more muggy! Walking to the convention center in the morning could get pretty warm just because of the humidity, but overall the weather was really great for being able to wear cute outfits. So without further ado, let’s get into the pictures!

Our first day was spent shopping a little bit, and just kind of relaxing around the hotel!
Crop top: Top Shop (please say that out loud because it’s so fun)
Shorts: Old Levi’s from my mom that I made into shorts
Blouse: This is actually my mom’s as well, and I think she got it from JC Penny’s!

I was SO excited about all of the palm trees, because I absolutely love them!
Shoes: Birkenstocks
Bag: Nordstrom
This was the first day of VidCon, and if you couldn’t tell, I was ecstatic!
Dress: Free People
Shoes: Kohl’s (for $10!!)
This dress also has pockets! That was seriously so nice and convenient to have all day.
I loved how my hair turned out this day!

This was day two of VidCon!
Romper: Pacsun
Shoes: Kohl’s (again for $10!)

Necklaces: The purple one is from a local farmer’s market, and the other one was made by Joycie!

I also really love how my hair turned out this day

I think this was my favorite outfit! I wore this on the third and final day of VidCon, and I’m so happy with how the full look came together.
Dress: Free People
Necklace: A little independent jewelry maker

The back of this dress is amazing!

I decided to wear a couple of flash tattoos this day since the back was so open! Now I’m really tempted to get a real tattoo there…

I also put another flash tattoo on my wrist! And ohmygosh it took about forty-five minutes to do my hair (you can ask Joycie who had to put up with me while I braided my mane…) but I’m so glad I took the time to do this hairstyle because it really completed the look!

We went to Disneyland on the fifth day and found Tinkerbell’s little garden, so of course we had to take OOTD’s there!
Shirt: Nordstrom
Shorts: Nordstrom
Bag: Ted Baker

 Sunglasses: Forever 21

We were shopping and traveling the sixth day, so I didn’t have a chance to take an OOTD, and I was just wearing one of my old tropical print dresses, so I didn’t figure you all would want to see that. But overall, I had a blast in California! The trip was exhausting, but so, so, so incredible! I cannot wait to go back next year for VidCon! 🙂

What was your favorite outfit?

Thank you so much for reading, and have a wonderful day!

My Experience At VidCon

I feel like I need to take a deep breath before I even start this post. VidCon was this past weekend, and it was one of the most amazing experiences I’ve ever had. I learned so much, met some amazing people, and gained even more passion/motivation for my blog and YouTube channel. It was incredible to be surrounded by so many like-minded people and creative minds.
I went with one of my best friends, Joycie (from Much Ado About Nothing), and we both got creator passes. I’m very glad that we did, because we were able to attend super helpful panels featuring larger and more knowledgable YouTubers, and man, did we learn a lot! There were seriously panels on everything you can imagine, and we got to meet a lot of the YouTubers after their panels! It was nice to meet them on a more “professional” level, and to be able to ask them questions and for advice. I took a lot of notes, and now I feel like I can make a serious game-plan on how to grow my blog and channel, and I’m so excited!
During VidCon, I also got to be a part of a mentorship program in which I got two sessions with two different mentors (who turned out to be Nikki Phillippi and Meghan Camarena from Strawburry17!!). I was able to show them a video I had made, and ask them questions and advice specific to my channel. They were both extremely nice and helpful, and the sessions were super invaluable!

Here’s Meghan and I at our session!

I cannot thank them enough for the advice they gave me, and I really hope to meet them next year again with much more success from the advice they gave me! I’ve set some goals for myself for this next year until VidCon 2016, so hopefully I’ll be able to tell them how much I’ve achieved!
With Creator passes, we were basically allowed to do everything that Community people were, except get into the signing hall, which was just fine with me. I loved being able to go the main expo hall and go around to the booths, but then also go to the second floor – that only people with Creator and Industry passes could get into – to attend really helpful panels. I don’t do too well with the whole running and screaming crowd thing, so it was nice to have our calm second floor to go to that was much more relaxed. We had our own lounges that we could relax in, and oddly enough, I was able to find gluten-free and vegetarian food on the second floor! That was definitely a plus, because I had the hardest time finding food that was both gluten-free and vegetarian. We ended up eating most of our meals at the Baja Fresh inside the Hilton, since Mexican food can easily be made with corn tortillas and without meat.
While we were at VidCon, we got to meet so many people! I’ll show you guys some pictures here:

sWooZie and I!
Louis from FunForLouis!

Cassey Ho (Blogilates)!

Andrea from Andrea’s Choice!

Convos With Our 2-Year-Old!!

Aspyn Ovard!
Shaycarl’s mom!

Estée from Essie Button!

Anna and Jonathan from the SacconeJoly’s!

Austin and Brittany from the Nive Nulls!

All of the YouTubers I met were so incredibly nice, and were willing to meet all of us! It was so cool to be able to meet them in real life, and to ask them questions. It just makes me even more excited to grow my blog and channel! I have big plans for this next year, and I am seriously ready to hustle in order to make my dreams come true. I figured I would be inspired after VidCon, but I really didn’t know just how pumped I would be! Although I’m sad VidCon is over, I still have this passion that is making me so excited for the future. I am even more dedicated to making my dreams come true; it will happen! Don’t ever let anyone tell you that you can’t achieve something. I am so ready to prove all of those people wrong! Together we can do anything – so get excited for this next year!
I also just want to thank all of you guys who are following me, subscribed, or have supported me in any way shape or form! I am extremely grateful to you guys, and I’m so happy you’re a part of our little family. With time it’ll just get bigger and bigger, and even more supportive of all of us! We are all in this together (cue High School Musical music), so let’s make this next year great! (Okay that sounds weird because in fact it is the middle of the year, but ya’ll know what I mean).

I LOVE ALL OF YOU GUYS.

Thank you so much for reading, and have a wonderful day!

Champagne Pop Review

I’m so sorry this post is a week and a half late! Work has been absolutely crazy, and I’ve been really busy with last minute preparations for LA. I still cannot believe that I’m going to VidCon! That is for another post, though – today I’m going to tell you about the newest highlight from Becca cosmetics in collaboration with YouTuber Jaclyn Hill, Champagne Pop! You may have heard of it since a lot of people have been going crazy about it (myself included), so I definitely wanted to let you know my thoughts on it!
I have watched Jaclyn Hill’s videos on YouTube for a while now, so when she announced Champagne Pop, I was so excited! A good highlight is what I had definitely been missing in my makeup collection, so I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it.
The box is a gorgeous rose gold shade with “drops” of champagne (hence the water droplet overlay for the title picture hehe) all over.
The color shows up a bit better and this picture. The back features a picture of Jaclyn and a little back story to the product!
The whole product packaging itself looks the same as the other Becca highlights, and I love how it looks and feels! It’s super chic and compact.
There’s a little plastic cover over the product when you first open it up. I couldn’t wait to get it off at this point!
 LOOK AT THAT COLOR.
Here’s a swatch on my hand!
It’s seriously such a beautiful shade, and looks so pretty in the sunlight, and also when you aren’t in direct light. I am in love!

Here’s what it looks like in simple natural light – I love how it isn’t super in your face (although you can definitely put more on than I did here!), but it also gives a super pretty glow to your skin. I applied it to the upper apples of my cheeks (is that a thing?) and also to my cupid bow area.
I love how it makes my skin glow a bit, since I have super dry skin that can look too matte sometimes!
Here’s how it looks in direct sunlight!
#highlightonfleek
I really love how this looks like in the sun – it gives you the perfect summer glow!
Overall I am SO satisfied with this product! The consistency is slightly buttery (you know what I mean?) so it goes on really well. I’ve been playing around with how much product to actually put on my brush, and I don’t really think you can go wrong. It gives such a pretty glow to the skin, and looks especially gorgeous in the sun and bright lighting. I’ve noticed my skin also looks much glowy-er in general in regular indoor lighting, and I have gotten many compliments on it!
I was afraid I would be too pale for a highlight, but this shade really compliments the pinker undertones in my skin since it’s more of a rose gold color. Even though it is a rose gold shade, I think it would look really good on people who are darker or have a more olive complexion. It really is a versatile product that can work with a lot of different skin tones!
I really encourage you to get this highlight if you’ve been needing one, or if you want to try a new one out! Becca highlights are known for being really great, and this one definitely lived up to the hype and expectations! I’m very, very pleased with my purchase, and give it two thumbs up!
Do you have a favorite highlight?

Thank you so much for reading, and have a wonderful day! 🙂

Book Review: Saint Anything

Wow, have I been busy this past week! I started my job exactly one week ago, and I definitely underestimated how tired I would be, and how much time it would take up. I have today off, however, so I decided to take the time to finally write a review for Saint Anything! I finished this book in the beginning of summer, so I’m glad I’m finally getting around to reviewing it.
To preface this, I absolutely love all of Sarah Dessen’s books. They are always so well-written and have such a great message to take away. Sarah Dessen is definitely one of my favorite authors because she makes her books so relatable, even when you don’t have a whole lot in common with the story. Her writing style is also so wonderful because her message is never forced upon you or literally written out; you get to discover the meaning of the plot line side-by-side with the main character. It drives me crazy when authors have to literally spell out (or shall I say sentence out…I know it was a pretty bad one) what the whole message of the book is, so Sarah Dessen’s books have always been a breath of fresh air. And each one literally is! I can’t explain it, but there’s just such a unique quality about all of her books that make them so fun to read.
This book definitely had all of those qualities! The whole story is about a girl named Sydney and how she is dealing with the trouble her brother, Peyton, has gotten into. Sydney has always felt like Peyton is the star of the show – receiving constant praise from their parents, and usually being the center of everyone’s attention. When he starts making bad decisions, however, he becomes the center of attention for different reasons. These bad decisions lead him to drive while drunk one night, and he ends up putting a boy in a wheelchair for the rest of his life, and is sent to jail because of it. Sydney has to deal with all of the ramifications from her brother’s mistakes, like moving schools to escape the new limelight she has found herself in, and her parents continuous worry for Peyton and not the boy he injured.
Throughout all of this, Sydney meets a boy named Mac, his sister Layla, and the rest of their family. She immediately bonds with them, and finds herself in the middle of a new family who adores her for who she really is. For the first time in her life she feels visible, and finds herself having fun each day she spends with them. Through these new relationships, she is able to figure old ones out and find her place in the world.
As always with Dessen’s books, I adored this one! I was able to relate to it a lot since I have an older brother myself, and he has always been the more extroverted sibling who is never afraid to talk to anyone. Sarah Dessen navigates this story so well by creating such real characters and great plot lines. While it is easy to follow, the plot of the book is very detailed and ties together very nicely in the end. There is a reason behind every event in the book, which is something that I really love. Meaningless events are also another one of my pet peeves when it comes to books.
I was also never bored while I read this book, and in fact found myself speeding through it! There was something interesting in every chapter, and I couldn’t wait to get through it to find out what happened. I did enjoy the ending, but also wish it had been a bit longer to see how a certain event played out, but I think Dessen did that purposefully so readers could have their own opinion on how it ended. While we all probably have the same idea, it would’ve been nice to read Dessen’s. Knowing her, though, she definitely meant to end the book the way she did!
Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this book and I definitely recommend reading it because you will not be disappointed! I think Sarah Dessen’s books are also really good for people who don’t read too much, because they’re really easy to get into and are usually a pretty quick read.
I also made a video about my review of this book, so you can check it out below! 🙂

Ten Things To Do This Summer!

Summer has officially started, and I can’t explain how excited I am! I’m so ready for sunshine, heat, and fun with friends! It’s been super nice just relaxing and not worrying about school, but I’m getting kind of tired of doing absolutely nothing. Since I want to have more fun (and I’m sure you do too!), I thought of ten things you could do this summer!
1. Go to the beach
This is so much fun to do with friends, and you even get to take a mini road trip (depending on how far away you are from the beach). This is one of my favorite things to do in the summer because I absolutely love the sea and the beach. Plus, the beach is usually a little bit cooler, so if it’s a really hot day just go to the beach and cool off!
2. Go to the river
If you don’t live by a beach, chances are there’s a river near by! This is great in the summer because you can just float in the river on an inner tube, or just swim around and cool off! Again, going to the river is great on a hot day because you can just jump in the water and you’re instantly cool.
3. Go take a hike
Hiking is something that is so fun and also great for you! The views are always so breathtaking, and once you reach the top, the whole hike is so worth it! It may be hard at times but just keep trying to imagine the ending. I also really love hiking to a water source, like a waterfall or watering hole so you can jump in the water after the hike up!

4. Go on a picnic
Picnics are so much fun because you can go to a cute little park with a blanket, basket, and friends, and eat some really fresh food! My favorite foods for picnics are salads, potato salads, melons, berries, sandwiches, fruits, and vegetables! Even taking some snacks to eat at a park is really fun, because you get to enjoy nature and good company.
5. Watch the sunrise or sunset
This is another personal favorite of mine, because the time right before the sunrise, and right after the sunset are my favorites! It just seems like the world takes a little pause, and everything’s waiting for the sun. I also really love sunrise hikes! They are so rewarding because you hike up to the top of a mountain, or wherever you go, and get to watch the sunrise! It’s also really fun to pack a light breakfast and eat it while you watch the sun.
6. Go to the movies to cool off
When it’s super hot, sometimes it’s just nice to go to the movies and cool off while you watch a good movie. I really enjoy going to the movie theaters, and it’s always even better when you go when it’s really warm because you get to be nice and cool! Some towns also have fun movies in the park, or drive in movies, so you should definitely check those out!
7. Go out for ice cream
Ice cream is probably my favorite dessert, especially during the summer heat! It’s so much fun to go out to a cute little ice cream shop with friends on a hot day to enjoy some nice cold treats. Quirky little shops are even more fun to go to, so make sure to look those up in your area!
8. Go to an amusement park
Even if you don’t live near places like Disneyland, there’s probably a smaller amusement park near you, or a little summer fair going on! These are so much fun in the summer because there are cute little carnival rides and booths. State fairs (if you’re in the United States) are also so much fun to go to at the end of summer, and there are countless carnivals that go on during the beginning and middle of summer!
9. Go to a pool
Something that’s really fun during the summer is laying out by a pool, and swimming in one to cool off! Simply hanging out with friends in a pool is so much fun, and even indoor aquatic parks are a lot of fun! This is a great thing to do, again, when it’s warm so you can just cool off and have a good time!

10. Go on a road trip
Road trips are so much fun during the summer, especially when you’re going to a cool destination! It doesn’t have to be to somewhere super grand like Disneyworld – just a simple trip with friends is really fun! There’s just something so exciting about packing lots of road trip snacks, making fun throwback playlists to listen to, and enjoying time with friends in a car.
Alright, well those are ten ideas I had in order to have fun this summer! I want this summer to be the best one yet, which is a goal I seem to have every summer. If you try to make all of your summers the best, though, you end up with a slew of summer adventures that you can fondly look back on.
I also made a video about this on my YouTube channel, and I’m really proud of how it turned out! 🙂
Do you have any fun plans for this summer?

Thank you so much for reading, and have a wonderful day! 🙂

New Blog Name…Kinda!

As you might have already noticed, I changed my blog name (kinda)! Stnkrbug has always been a part of my “brand” but my overall blog has been named “It’s a Bug’s Life.” When I first made my blog, I didn’t think just “Stnkrbug” could stand on it’s own, so I felt the need to think of a longer name. However, I got my very own domain yesterday, so the move to “Stnkrbug” felt right. My tagline is now “It’s a Bug’s Life” and I am so happy with my decision! I have been called Stnkrbug my whole life, so it’s only natural to have my own place on the internet called that as well. My YouTube channel is also called Stnkrbug, so I love how everything matches now. My whole blog is still the same – I won’t be changing what I blog about. The only thing that has changed is the name of my blog! I say only, but I feel like a name change is pretty big!
I’ve been feeling so inspired lately – probably because I’m home for the summer and don’t have to worry about school – so this change has come at the perfect time. I think it’s really going to propel me forward with my blog! I’m so ready to commit myself even more to my blog, and I can’t wait to see where this summer takes me. I have VidCon in about a month (okay 35 days, but it’s not like I’m counting or anything…) which is going to be so much fun and a great opportunity to meet other online creators! I really want this to be a summer filled with creativity and inspiration with everything I do: blogging, YouTube, and also writing! Writing is one of my biggest passions, as I’m sure I’ve mentioned before, and I have decided to start writing a book! I don’t really know where it’s going to take me, or if it’s even going to be a success, but it makes me excited and happy so I’m doing it! I’ll update you guys throughout the process, so hopefully it’s a fruitful one.
Well I just wanted to quickly update you guys and let you know about the name change! I hope you all like it, because I’m in love! 🙂

What are you excited for this summer?

Have a wonderful day! 🙂

Also, I leave you with this picture my mom took of me the other day and swore up and down it was cute. Mom’s will be mom’s! (I’m still super glad to be home hehe)

How To Get Clear Skin!

Clear skin is something that we all can relate to in our struggles. Especially when you are a young person, it can sometimes feel like you can never catch a break with your skin between hormones, school, stress – the list goes on and on. I have found a skin routine that really works for me, so I thought I would talk about it a little bit since it really makes my skin happy!

I also just want to preface this with the fact that my skin is very dry and sensitive, so I have to use products that are very gentle, and I always try and use more natural products. My skin seems to react a lot better to natural products, so I always stick with that route!
1. Always take off your makeup at night.
It is so important to take off your makeup at night! If you don’t, your pores are just plugged the whole night, which leads to breakouts! So make sure to steer clear of those by taking off your makeup before you sleep.
I use this eye makeup remover from Fresh, and I absolutely love it! It is so gentle on my eyes, and it leaves them feeling really hydrated, which doesn’t always happen with other eye makeup removers I’ve tried. This product also takes off all of my eye makeup, even the most stubborn mascara! I could go on and on about it, and if you have yet to find an eye makeup remover that you like, you should definitely try this one!
After I take off my eye makeup, I use these makeup remover wipes for my whole face. They are made especially for sensitive skin, so they work really well for me! I also really love Burt’s Bees because they’re products are always so gentle on my skin.
2. Wash your face at least once a day.
I know this one is a given, but for me I only wash my face once a day. Anything more than that really irritates my skin since it’s already dry and sensitive. In the mornings I just wake up and put lotion on, and I skip the face wash. If your skin is really dry and unhappy, try doing this! I know it’s necessary for people with oily skin to wash their face twice a day, but dryer skinned people can get away with just once.
3. Exfoliate at least once a week.

I usually exfoliate on Wednesday’s and Sunday’s, so twice a week, but it’s important to exfoliate at least once a week! It helps to remove the dead skin cells that can clog your pores up, and just keeps your skin happy and healthy!

4. Use a face mask.

I use the Clear Improvement mask from Origins once a week to clarify my skin, but you can use any type of mask you want! There are some really great moisturizing face masks if your skin is particularly dry (I usually do this in the winter), or masks to help reduce oiliness. I really love this mask, though, and it works really well with my skin! I’ve always had really good experiences with Origins products.

 5. Use a good moisturizer.

I use the Daily Face Cream from First Aid Beauty in the mornings and night, and I really love it! It’s super important to make sure your face is properly hydrated day and night, so I suggest using lotion at least twice a day. Sometimes I even like to pop on some lotion in the middle of the day when my skin is really dry!

6. Always use sunscreen!
Sunscreen is so important to use even on days that are cloudy! I don’t put sunscreen on all over my body every single day, but I always put sunscreen on my face! It’s in my BB cream, so I’m covered for everyday use, but if I’m going to be in the sun all day (like at the beach or pool) I put on an actual sunscreen for more coverage. Your skin will thank you later in life for consistent sunscreen use!!

I also made a video where I talked a little bit more in depth about all of these points, so you can give it a watch if you want! 🙂

What are your skincare tips?

Thank you so much for reading and have a wonderful day! 🙂

Imperfections

I have always been a perfectionist. Ever since I can remember, everything that I’ve done has had to better than just “good enough” which has always pushed me to try my hardest. Because I had to do everything perfectly, I’ve often held myself to those very same standards and have found it difficult to accept imperfections.
Imperfections are very tricky things; we all have them, yet try our hardest to deny them. Society today makes it seem as though you have to be perfect in order to be successful, and the person with the least amount of imperfections is automatically thought of as the best. We reject these parts of ourselves because we believe they make us weak and not good enough, when often times they are the very things that set us apart and make all of us unique. If we were all perfect human beings, the world would be an extremely boring place because everyone you meet would be the same.
I have many imperfections – I’m extremely stubborn, indecisive, self-conscious and I worry way too much. It’s hard sometimes to accept these things because I hate to feel weak, but they’re also the things that make up who I am. As humans we’re of course way more than our imperfections, but they are fundamental to who we are. The people who love us have to accept our imperfections, and even come to love those too. I think it’s really important to accept them ourselves as well. When you love every part of yourself, life gets a lot easier to handle. And when you accept every part of yourself, it’s a lot easier to be comfortable with yourself in every situation.
I was tagged on YouTube for the Imperfections tag, and I’m so glad I was! It was so cool to think about my own imperfections and how they make us all so human. I think it’s a really good idea to think about our imperfections and accept that they are a part of us. It helps so much to accept them because once you accept the “worst” things about yourself, the good things are so much easier to notice! One of my New Years “resolutions” was to start loving myself, so this was such a cool thing to think about. So let’s spread around some much needed self love!

What are your imperfections?

Thank you so much for reading, you are all beautiful, and have a wonderful day! 🙂

Cinderella Inspired Prom Makeup!

I went and saw the Cinderella movie about a month ago and it was so amazing! Dare I say it’s even better than the original animated one?! All of the costumes, hair, makeup, and everything else was so gorgeous! I seriously fell in love within the first five minutes. I also love the message of “have courage and be kind” that they drive to the audience throughout the whole movie.
Since I loved the movie so much, I did a makeup look for prom inspired by it! I had so much fun doing this, and what girl doesn’t want to look like Cinderella for prom?!

I used the colors in my Naked 1 and 3 palette for this look since they both have really pretty soft pinks! I wanted this whole look to be really glowy and soft since Cinderella really doesn’t wear a lot of harsh makeup in the movie, even during the ball.
I also used the “skintuitive” lipgloss from Tarte for this look, and it changes into a different color for each person! It was so cool watching the color change.
Here is my YouTube video where you can watch how I got this look! 🙂
Well I just wanted to do a quick post showing this look! I’m a freshman in college so I of course am not going to prom, but I thought this might be helpful for those of you going to prom! I know I always had the hardest time deciding what makeup to wear for prom.
Have you seen the new Cinderella?

Thank you so much for reading, and have a wonderful day! 🙂
